Residents view Armory House
Properties as more than simply a place to stay…it is a
lifestyle. The close-knit community and lasting friendships
begun at AHP contribute to our welcoming and sociable
reputation.
Beginning with move-in-day, our
Resident Advisors and staff plan fun activities for students
to enjoy and to make lasting friendships. The fall barn
dance, park barbeques, movie night, beach volleyball, and
open door night are just a few of the students’ favorite
events.
AHP also supports participation
in community outreach through the new program “Together We
Can.” Together AHP staff and students really can make a
difference. Many of our residents enjoy teaming up to work
on projects for non-profit groups in the community. We
partner with several Champaign-Urbana organizations, such as
Habitat for Humanity, Cunningham Children’s Home, the
Champaign Public Library, A Novel Idea, Head Start daycare,
and Dump and Run, to make a difference in our town. |
