Internet Service Rules

You must agree to the following terms, rules, and regulations to use Armory House Internet Service.

NOTE: Armory House computing resources exist to complement the educational mission of the Armory House residents and must be used appropriately. You have the obligation to ensure that you are utilizing all computing resources in accordance with Armory House policy and applicable laws.

If you have a question about whether a specific use of computing or networking resources is legal or appropriate, please call or email support first.

Please read these rules carefully. In addition to these rules, you are also required to abide by any applicable laws.

1.      Wireless access points are prohibited without prior approval.  If you are planning to use your own wireless access point, you must call support and provide info about model, security being used, and how it will be connected.

2.   Use only automatic configuration.  Your computer must be set to automatic network stettings.  This means that all TCP/IP settings must be set for automatic configuration (DHCP).  Do not manually set your IP address.

4.   You will be held responsible for destructive or illegal activity. 

5.   Your connection is for not for commercial use.  You may not use Armory House's Internet service to provide any commercial services.  Furthermore, you may not promote any commercial activity using Armory House computing resources.  For example:

o        You may not operate a commercial web server

o        You may not send mass emails.

o        You may not use the Ethernet connection to run or promote a business.

8.   Use resources appropriately. Do not interfere with the activities of others or use a disproportionate share of resources. Keep downloads to a reasonable level.  Your network administrator reserves the right to block access to sites or restrict the speed of your connection if your use of resources is determined to be excessive.

o        Deliberately causing any disruption of someone else's service

o        Using excessive bandwidth to distribute programs, pictures, or other files on the Internet.
