At Armory House we have more Resident Advisors (RAs) per student (1 RA to 28 students) than any other student dormitory on campus. They help you move in on official Move-In Days, and they plan social activities from day one that provide opportunities for you to get acquainted and make new friends. You will find our Resident staff to be friendly and helpful when you have questions or need assistance, and should a problem arise, they are here to help you resolve it.

Katyana Palafox- AH Suites Resident Director

Hello everyone! My name is Katyana and I am a first year veterinary student at the UIUC College of Veterinary Medicine. I graduated from UIUC this year with a bachelor’s degree in Animal    Science and a minor in Chemistry. Aside from studying animals, many of my other hobbies       include musical theater, drawing, reading, listening to music, and crafting.

If you ever need someone to talk to, feel free to stop by room 408 anytime. Trust me, I’ve been here a long time so if you have any questions about the school or just life in general, come find me and I’ll answer to the best of my abilities! Whether you are new to Armory House or returning, I am excited to meet you and see you all this year!



Anna Hobson- AH Main Resident Director

Hello! My name is Anna Hobson and I’m the Main Building Resident Director. I am a Psychology major in my junior year here at UIUC. I am originally from England, but I’ve spent most of my life here in the US!

In my free time I’m usually reading, drawing, or listening to music. My door will always be open if you have any questions or concerns, or even if you just need a friendly ear. I’m sure its going to be a great year!




Mike Adams- AH Suites Resident Advisor

Welcome to Armory House! I’m Mike Adams, and this will be my third year as a Resident Advisor! After studying in Japan last year, I’m back for one final semester, and even though I’ll only be here until the spring semester, I’m looking forward to meeting everyone!

If you ever have any questions about the building, the university, classes, places around town, studying abroad–anything–please feel free to ask me anytime! Look for me in room 504 of the Suites or one of the lounges.




Trevor Bultinck- AH Main Cultural Diversity Resident Advisor

My name is Trevor Bultinck, and my Chinese name is 青藤乐 (qing tengyue). I am a junior studying Agricultural and Biological Engineering. This year I will be an RA and Cultural Diversity Intern here at Armory House.

When I’m not studying I like to spend my free time practicing Parkour and Kendo. I really enjoy learning about other cultures, especially Chinese. I just returned from spending the summer traveling around Chengdu and Hangzhou, China. Please ask me any questions you might have, and I look forward to meeting all of you!

Hi, I’m Sophie. I am from Shenyang, northeast part of China. I’m a senior, double majoring in Math and Statistics. In my spare time, I play the piano for my church, hang out with friends, and take road trips. I’m also a big fan of Sudoku.

I lived at Armory house my freshman year and I worked last year as a Cultural Diversity intern. I’m certified as a Chinese teacher and look forward to sharing interesting parts of the Chinese culture with you. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions or need any help.
